White stiletto fan-club

I have now officially joined the white stiletto club (no platform please – those are so out) yay to me. Ever since finding these beauties in the 5-floor Topshop store in Oxford Street amongst the sea of hipster studded tops and high waisted rose-printed shorts, I’ve been trying to find an occasion to wear them in the grim Costa Del Sol weather…
“To the polo? It’s too rainy.”
“To the hairdressers? Do I really want these god blessed white beauties worthy of an angel to be premiered in front of the people who cut the tips of my hair once a month? I don’t think so.”
“To the supermarket? I’m not really feeling in the Anna Dello Russo mood today, thank you.”
My mother’s birthday dinner in the lovely Marbella Club Grill, however, turned out to be the ideal occasion to parade my new finds in front of dozens of well-dressed people.
After having thought about it for a long time, combining these beauties with a dress looked almost too cliché and mainstream, so I ultimately decided upon quite a risky – for the area where I live anyways – elegant and almost masculine outfit, comprised of a black blazer and white shirt with maybe a little bit more décolletage than needed, and my favourite navy grayish blue jeans with a side leather stripe.
Anyhow, after discovering how comfortable they were on top of being absolutely gorgeous and wearable with almost anything, I’m already planning on how to wear them in Paris this summer.

I have a new spring staple! What’s yours?

I completely agree. People say black and white is boring, when you can make it look so interesting and sophisticated!

holy crap. You're like – perfect. Are you seriously only 16!?

Wish I had 1/billionth of your style when I was that age. You look absolutely stunning, and I love how you've styled the white heel. Glad you joined the bandwagon. Oftentimes I find the white spruces up an old outfit in a totally modern way.

These jeans are to die for as well.

    Obsessed with your blog now.

Gabrielle thank you so much for your comment, you just completely made my day! It's probably because I feel way older than my age…If I still felt 16 I'd be wearing hoodies and jeggings along with everyone else in my year group!

I found the jeans in Century 21, discounted by like $200 – pretty much my find of the year.

I just checked out your blog and now I'm obsessed with yours, followed straight away! X.

Me neither! I was in Topshop looking at shoes and then I saw these white ones and randomly remembered this amazing street style photograph of a woman rocking some white stilettos, so I decided to try them on and voila – I'm in love!

Hi, I love your outfit and I agree with everyone, "you are really beautiful", nevertheless, I think you could have looked prettiest with a little bit of red or pink lipstick on your lips or blush on your cheeks, to give you a litle bit more of color.

Hi Caroline! Thank you so much for your advice, it's great when readers have a critical eye towards my blog. Since I'm quite new to the whole 'outfit photography' thing, I haven't really thought about the beauty aspects of my look.

I don't even know why I forgot this time, I'm a huge fan of the belle de jour look with blush, luminizer and nude lipstick or the red lips with black eyeliner. I'll definitely consider it next time though! X.

I used to be pretty vehemently against white shoes but the new and classier ones that have been coming out have really changed my mind. How do I get in on this club? And where can I get beautiful white shoes?

I actually really like the au naturale! I wear a bit of lipstick in my photos just because sometimes natural colors get washed out, but I don't like it when I see bloggers wearing full caked-on makeup – they look more model-like, I guess, but they don't look like real people, which in the end is what distinguishes them from actual models and makes them more personable, you know?

I really like it too, and I agree – a face full of makeup isn't nice. But I don't even own foundation so I guess that wouldn't be an issue with me! But I guess here I could've added a pop of colour because my face kind of washes in with the bleak sky… and thank you so much!

Same here! Especially the platformed ones, those were horrible. And the boots? Even worse.
There's so many options…I would actually advise the Topshop ones, they're comfortable and you don't need to break them in, surprisingly enough. Also the Manolos…but that's a completely different story as they're about €500 more expensive.

Okay, I'm still against platforms >1/2". And oh god, remember the space boots?

These are gorgeous, and probably what I would go for (Manolos are just not even on my real-world/non-fantasy radar right now), but I don't really like pumps in general because my feet are two different sizes, so one or the other is always too big or too small (and they're not really strapped on in any way, so it makes walking really difficult if you're always stepping out of one). In the meantime, I know they're not all-white but I am seriously considering these.

I think that really depends on what you're going for! I think a pop of color would look good, but would have also completely changed the look! Here you look laid-back and classic, and bright pink lipstick would have made it funky & fun. Please don't do blush, though, because you have such gorgeous skin!

You don't? It's the same with me but I kind of got used to it by now, it hurts after a while though.
My god I've seen these in Zara and I love them, you should definitely get them! Plus they're ankle strap so it would be quite comfortable if you have different sized feet.

That's what I'm thinking! I think I'm going to go for them 🙂

Oh, I guess I should clarify: I do like the way pumps look, I just don't like wearing them.
